Mark Gilbert ATN – Which Teams Will Join City and Liverpool in the Top 4?

Me and the boys at Automative Training Network generally talk about 2 things, cars and football. In fact for Mark Gilbert ATN founder, I think that he actually loves football more than his own business given the amount that he talks about it. The English Premier League is generally what we discuss and the hottest debate which Make and I have been having recently is who will join Liverpool and Man City in the Champions League places. Mark and I are only too aware of the fact that Liverpool and City will finish way ahead of everyone else, but after 6 games of the season, who is looking in the best shape.

Spurs

Mark and I genuinely believed that Spurs would be the best of the rest this season and that they may even make a tilt for a push towards the title. The first 6 games of the season has blown our theory out of the water after Spurs have picked up just 8 points in those games, losing twice to Newcastle and Leicester, games which they should be winning. Spurs now look set to be involved in a battle for top 4, and both Mark and I reckon they will finish in the CL places.

Leicester

It was mooted that Leicester may get closer to the top 6 this year but given the way that Brendad Rodgers’ have started the season, they may even reach higher than that. Leicester have an exciting team with young players, as well as some experienced professionals who have experience in winning the league don’t forget. With Madison’s creativity, Vardy’s finishing and a tight midfield with Ndidi and Tielemanns, this Leicester side will be pushing until the end.

Chelsea

Nobody really knew what to expect from Chelsea this season, much less Mark and I, given the mixture of the transfer ban and the appointment of relative newbie Frank Lampard. Lampard has put his faith in young players like Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount and boy is that paying off. It’s easy to forget that many Chelsea players have won the league with the club, and players like Pedro, Willian, Alonso, Azpilicueta and Kante will help this Chelsea team join Spurs in the top 4.

Arsenal

The only reason why Mark and I believe that Arsenal will miss out on the top 4 is because they are playing the Europa League on a Thursday night, a problem for teams, coupled with their awful defense and a clueless manager in Emery.  They will run close but just miss out.

Manchester United

Man United have the same issue as Arsenal with the Europa League, but beyond this they just lack something in their attack which hasn’t been resolved. The signings of Wan Bissaka and Maguire make a lot of sense and young Daniel James has started very well. Unfortunately with no Lukaku and Rashford being the only real striker in the team, we believe that United’s lack of goals will cause them to miss out once again.
