Review
Mike (Gary Cole) and Carol (Shelley Long) have just one week to come up with $20,000 in back taxes or they'll lose their house to a scheming neighbor. To make matters worse, Marcia gets a swollen nose on a date, Cindy's addicted to tattling, and Jan's hearing a psychotic inner voice crying "Marcia, Marcia, Marcia". The kids enter a talent contest with a $20,000 purse.

In the sequel, A Very Brady Sequel, Mike is planning a surprise wedding anniversary party for Carol, until her long lost first husband, Roy, shows up to shake the family tree. When Roy whisks Carol off to Hawaii, the Brady's take off in pursuit-for fun, sun, and the adventures of their lives.

Well, these films aren't masterpieces people, but what they manage to do is offer a unique spin setting the 60s family in the present (at the time... the 90s)... creating a wonderful spoof of the family that we have always loved. Therein lies the wonderful humor of the films. The situations are tongue in cheek, taken from the original series. The cast is perfect in all cases as well.

Basically, if you're ready for some great laughs, these films are well worth the buy. THEY ARE FUNNY.

The Disc
Barebones release that doesn't offer too much besides the fun of the films.

Picture Quality: 6/10
The transfer is borderline terrible. Full of grain and dirty images. The colors aren't too bad, and there are many of them (hello, 60s), but they seem very bland.

Sound Quality: 7/10
The sound isn't too bad. There are plenty of sound gags that the surround system can take advantage of, and the dialogue is seperated pretty well. The soundtrack serves the film well too.

Easter Eggs:
No Easter Eggs found during review.

Extra Features: 0/10
Nothing. Not even a trailer or two. Oh well.

The Final Word:
The movies are funny. The sequel is even better than the original. The makers of these movies offer a lot of great humor, spoof, and even dirty up this innocent family quite a bit... which makes it even more hilarious!
