Disney has recently released several "Sing Along Song" collections. "Sing Along With Pooh Bear and Piglet Too" includes 14 songs from various Winnie the Pooh films including the new "Piglet's Big Movie." The 14 songs can be played in English, Spanish and Italian. Nice fun for musically inclined toddlers.
The songs include:
"Winnie the Pooh Theme Song"
"Rumbly in my Tumbley"
"The Wonderful Thing About Tiggers"
"With a Few Good Friends"
"Heffalumps and Woozles"
"Nothing is Too Good for a Friend"
"Sing Ho for the Life of a Bear"
"Kanga Roo Hop"
"The One and Only"
"Try a Little Something New/ High and Low"
"Floating Song"
"Harvest What You Grow"
"My Song"
"Sing Along Songs Theme"
Good disk, picture, sound and extras.
Picture Quality: 8/10
The picture quality varies from song to song. The majority of them are quite good. The transfer is excellent. The variations are due to the original source material animation. There are some variances between songs taken from movies and the TV show. Little ones won't really care.
Sound Quality: 8/10
Excellent balance between the ranges. These songs don't have the depth of sound that you would find on other Disney DVDs. The music from "Beauty and the Beast" and "The Lion King" had higher production values. There is no distortion. The high end is a bit flat at time.
Menu: 10/10
Nice design. Good use of images and music from the world of Pooh Bear. Easy to navigate. No Easter Eggs found.
Extra Features: 10/10
There are two games designed to help children develop word skills and rhythm.
The "Word Time" activity has a beginner and expert level. Kids must find the item which matches a word spoken by the narrator. A blue balloon floats through different places in the 100 Acre Woods. Your child pushes the "Enter" button when the balloon stops on the item they are to identify.
"Songs of Note" is similar to the game "Simon." The screen consists of a xylophone and all of your favorite Pooh characters. The DVD plays several notes. Your child then repeats the notes using the remote control. The game gets progressively harder as more notes are added.
The DVD also includes sneak peeks for "The Lion King: Special Edition," "Rolie Polie Olie: The Baby Bot Chase" and "Stanley."
The Final Word:
Another entertaining and educational DVD from Disney. Perfect for pre-school kids.
