1-Disc Keep Case
|
Five years ago, at Camp Placid Pines, Trevor Moorehouse killed several campers. Now he's back and the sister of one of his earlier victims is in the camp and in a whole heap of trouble. She and her fellow campers now must survive yet another killing spree at Moorehouse's hands.
Bloody Murder 2 is just about standard fare. Nothing much to write home about though. The case art is actually the only aspect worth commending.
Picture Quality: 5/10
Image quality is average with a lot of the film being shot in a dark setting, as slashers hardly ever kill during daylihgt hours.
Sound Quality: 5/10
Sound quality, like picture quality is average. No real knocks. No real kudos either. I think they went a bit far on the point of impact sounds, though. I really don't need to hear the sound of an arrow piercing a guys neck, nor do I need to hear, so clearly, the sound of a machette being imbedded in a girls forehead.
Easter Eggs:
Extra Features: 5/10
The extra features on the disc include scenes from the original Bloody Murder as well as recommendations for other films like it. The quaility of the extras is at least as good as the film itself.
The Final Word:
I don't like, have never liked, and will never like horror/slasher films. Bloody Murder did nothing to change my views on the genre. This movie is only slightly better than the worse film I've ever seen, Bloody Streetz. And you know, at this rate, I may begin to think any film which starts with Bloody in the title is destined to suck. However, I will hold out hope. It seems quite obvious that this is clearly a rip off of a Scooby Doo cartoon episode, but Scooby Doo had a supremely better writing staff. And in case I haven't been very clear about how I feel about this film, here are some words to sum it up: awful, appalling, dreadful, horrible, repulsive, and don't forget terrible. I will say, though, the women in this film were...
...quite something. But hey, I am a flesh adoring pig.
