Review
A total misfire of a comedy. It made my 12 year-old-son laugh in a few places, and he likes the battle scenes. He's a Miami Dolphin fan, so he hated the fact Martin Lawrence wore a Jets jersey. I thought the movie was unfunny, unpleasent and unwatchable. Andy Zientek thought so too. To read his archived review CLICK HERE.

The Disc
Awful movie. Great picture and sound. Tons of extras. Reasonable price.

Picture Quality: 10/10
Great picture. Great flesh tones. No artifacts or pixilation and no delineation problems. Never has such a terrible movie looked so good.

Sound Quality: 10/10
Great use of the 5.1 surround sound. Arrows whiz past your head. Armor clangs and crashes. The funky music sounds good too.

Menu: 7/10
Fair design. Makes good use of images from the movie. Easy to navigate through the many extras.

Extra Features: 10/10
Tons of stuff. Why is a movie like this is released with a ton of cool extras, but more worthy films are released in vanilla DVD formats? Only the good die young.

The commentary track has some technically informative information. There are s few funny stories. Martin Lawrence comments on two scenes. I don't find Mr. Lawrence funny, so I'll leave it at that.
There are several Behind the Scenes featurettes. I liked the stunt featurette and the production design featurette. the others are only OK.
There are 3 deleted scenes. I wish there had been another hour and twenty minutes of deleted scenes. The outtakes are funny just by their nature. It is funny to see people goof up. There is also a cool gag the crew played on Martin Lawrence as he is leaving his LA apartment.

There are 2 trailers. The sneak peeks for "Unfaithful" with Diane Lane and Richard Gere and "Minority Report" with Tom Cruise are more interesting than anything else on the DVD.

The Final Word:
Fans will buy it and eat it up. All others beware. The humor is aimed at fans and undiscerning young teens.
