Review
Three episodes from the classic and hilarious TV show! Mark Hamill stars as Luke Skywalker in this episode, along with C3PO, R2D2, and the great Chewbacca. While Mark Hamill is great as Luke, when he's himself, well, he's a dork. Not funny at all. But the Pigs in Space bit with the Star Wars feel to it is worth the price of the DVD alone. The other episodes with Paul Simon and Raquel Welch are fun... especially with all of the songs in the Simon version being sung by him and the Muppets.

The Disc
Not much to say. The music is fun, the picture is okay, and we have trailers of the Muppets movie.

Picture Quality: 6/10
Above average, but nothing to special. I didn't expect anything from it, but it is certainly better than VHS.

Sound Quality: 6/10
Again, better than average, but nothing special. The musical numbers are priceless.

Menu: 7/10
Still image with the Muppet anthem in the background.

Extra Features: 6/10
Above average thanks to introductions to the episodes, and the trailers offered of previous Muppet movies.

The Final Word:
The Muppet Show is a classic. I don't know what they did, but somehow it just all worked. A perfect balance of child and adult humor with great special guests. If you're a Star Wars collector, you will want this one!
