Review
The "Baby Laureate's" DVD series is designed to introduce the very young to the wonders of our world. The producers also donate part of the proceeds to the Children's Defense Fund and the St. Jude Research Hospital in my home town of Memphis Tennessee. If you are the parent of a toddler, you really should check out this inventive DVD series.

"Baby Laureate's: For the Love of Art" is an educational feast for the eyes and ears of both little ones and their parents. The 30 minute DVD combines some of the world's greatest art with the world's greatest classical music. The dazzling montages are colorful and move at a rapid pace. Even children with very short attention spans will be held enrapt by the images and music.

In addition to the musical/visual montages, the DVD includes educational segments that explain the basics about shapes and colors to kids.

The Disc
A wonderful disk with excellent picture and sound. OK extras.

Picture Quality: 10/10
A dazzling array of colors. The images are sharp. The colors well saturated. No pixilation, artifacts or delineation problems.

Sound Quality: 10/10
This wonderful soundtrack includes music by Vivaldi, Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven, Brahms and Bizet. Excellent balance between the ranges. Rich, full tones.

Easter Eggs:
None found.

Extra Features: 4/10
There are two special feature menus, which allow you to play just the musical/art montages and also the animated educational sequences. If you are laying a little one down for a nap, this is a great DVD to help them slip off to sleep with.

The Final Word:
A must have series for parents of little learners. Relaxing and enjoyable for adults also.
