JACK KEMP Died May 2, 2009
Former professional football quarterback, US Congressman and Vice Presidential nominee Jack Kemp died of cancer at age 73. Mr. Kemp parlayed his fame as quarterback for the Buffalo Bills football team in a a nine-term political career as a Republican congressman from New York. Mr. Kemp was Robert Dole's running mate in the 1996 presidential race. Mr. Kemp appeared in a number of documentaries and TV shows including "Dear Mister President," "Hannity & Colmes," "ESPN SportsCentury" and "Rebels with a Cause: The Story of the American Football League."
