American Red Cross volunteers have been deployed to the hardest hit areas of Katrina’s destruction, supplying hundreds of
thousands victims left homeless with critical necessities. By making a financial gift to Hurricane 2005 Relief, the Red
Cross can provide shelter, food, counseling and other assistance to those in need.
Paul Kaye felt that his British television persona Dennis Pennis had him type cast. If you look closely, you might be able to pick him out playing a zombie in cult hit "Sean of the Dead." But it took a major departure from his previous work to get Kaye noticed. His incarnation as superstar DJ Frankie Wilde in the film "It's All Gone Pete Tong" is a sight to behold. After seeing the film twice, I can't imagine anyone else in the role.
Kaye joined me from London while I sat in the radio station to record a bit of talk about what has become his new alter ego. He told me about his fondness for David Bowie, basing the Wilde persona on Stooge leader Iggy Pop, and the real guy in that menacing badger suit. These days for Kaye, Wilde is right where he wants to be.
