- Movies are my passion! I started actually making them a few years ago. I completed my first feature, CRASHING THE PARTY, last year. I wrote a novel, THE TASTER, that was published last year and can be picked up on Amazon or Ebay (wow!). My latest short documentary film is called CROSS FOR SALE, and it profiles an interesting man named Billy Jack Mobley. My daughter, Layla, is 5 years old and is the most important person in my life. She's learning to play soccer.

John Erick Dowdle is one half of the Dowdle brothers, which also includes producer Drew Dowdle. These guys are just great to talk with and have a fantastic attitude about the business--a kind of outside in approach. For some reason their awfully cool and scary mockumentary The Poughkeepsie Tapes has never been released. EI's Adam Barnick and I caught the film at Tribeca a few years ago, and shot an interview with the brothers thereafter. This "Devil" thing could be gritty under their direction.

This is interesting. I suppose that it will be the ultimate MJ concert film. One wonders whether there is any interview footage that will reveal Jackson's state of mind or physical condition as opposed to a wholly flattering film, rather, a let it all hang out affair.
