Just to keep you up to speed, the new TV project "Parenthood" that is modeled after the hit feature film starring Steve Martin had major setback. Marua Tierney of ER fame was to play one of the leads but sadly she had developed cancer. She then left the cast as the search for a replacement began.
It was soon reported that Helen Hunt was in the front running. In fact she was asked to come onto the project right after Tierney's departure. However, as things can sometimes go, things went south and no deal was made.
Now it seems that the female lead role will be filled by Lauren Graham from the popular "Gilmore Girls" show that was a huge hit on the WB. news is she had been looking to get back to TV since the Gilmore run and this would be a perfect chance.
Graham is a very strong actress. She was awesome in "Gilmore Girls". Yeah I watched it. I'm not ashamed to say it with manliness still intact. I just want to wish her all the best in pinning down this role and to send some warm wishes and best thoughts to Tierney as she battles her condition.
