"Fringe" scribe Brad Caleb Kane is set to pen a feature film based on the popular children's toy View-Master for Dreamworks Pictures, according to Greek Geek.
According to Kane's Twitter account, "Star Trek" scribes Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci are also involved. The tone will apparently be like the classic "The Goonies" and "Young Sherlock Holmes".
I don't know why... but I actually like the idea of these boardgames and 80s toys becoming movies somehow. Interested to see how they tackle these things, story-wise.
